Haritakis House is set in its own garden, perched on a high bluff overlooking the Village with the most stunning panoramic views of the coastline and the sea. At the entrance to the house an attractive, partially covered patio area paved with local stone and fringed by bougainvillea makes an inviting spot for dining in the open air. Inside, the open plan living room has a dining table with built in bench seating and a breakfast bar seperating the living and kitchen areas.
At the rear is a small landing with a door to a twin bedroom, plus a wooden staircase to first floor level where there is a further twin bedroom, plus a double bedroom with patio doors to a gorgeous terrace sitting in a froth of bougainvillea and just the spot to watch the sun rise over the mountains to the east (if you're awake in time) and set over the mountains to the west. Both these bedrooms have sloping beamed ceilings, pine flooring and magnificent sea views. The 3 bedrooms share one shower room located off the staircase a few steps from ground floor level.
Despite being built with traditional materials, Haritakis House has a pleasing modern ambience. All our five village houses command superb sea views and all have a minimum of two bedrooms, plus one shower. Each house has a well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker and fridge-freezer and there's an open fireplace in the living area. An innovative feature in many of the houses is full-length French windows in the first floor bedrooms, protected by wrought iron balustrades. Each house is supplied with two sunbeds and they all have fans in the bedroom. More photos and informations of availability at www.freelance-holidays.co.uk/crete_village_houses.php/Haritakis_House.
